Quilting Arts Gifts Issue 2010

I'm so honored to be included in the upcoming Quilting Arts GIFTS issue due out soon. I always look forward to this special issue to give me ideas for fabulous holiday gifts for friends and family. There is always at least one project that gets my creative juices flowing and usually more. The rest serve as delicious eye candy. This year features three projects from my studio, including gingerbread bookmarks, some discharge-dyed nesting boxes and recipe rolling pin books. If you stopped by to see me during International Quilt Festival this Spring in Chicago, you got to see a preview. This is one of my favorite projects ever and I am squirreling away more pretty rolling pins for future books! You can pre-order GIFTS now and start drooling over the projects by many of our favorite artists.

  13. Love! love! love! the projects you did for the magazine. I'm going to make coasters with the discharge technique instead of the boxes. I'm going to have to make the bookmarks as well, and the rolling pin is just brilliant.

  14. Thanks Susan! Coasters is a perfect idea. I have my green sample pieces sitting on a table at home and they are looking distinctly coaster-like. I had a lot of fun with the rolling pin and I've collected a few more, so more books in the works. Hope you have fun!
