Something to Watch For

When beginning a new sketchbook...if you decide to apply a drawing or collage to the cover, try to FIRST determine which is the front, particularly if you have already begun drawing in it. Then apply your cover image so that the book is right-side up when you open it. Do as I say, not as I do.

    That is hilarious! Except when it happened to me when I was doing my sketchbook for the Sketchbook Project. I had already done the front cover and the first three pages when I noticed I was drawing on the fourth page upside down. Not wanting to cover what I had already done, I used it to my advantage and actually made sort of a theme with it. I will be posting my sketchbook soon and you'll see what I mean.

    And your cover is so very cool. I love all the wonderful things going on in it. Nice depth, texture and color. Love the eyes!
