Fabric Painting Class
Yes! I have been working on stuff--get ready for some whirlwind posting. Here is a sampling of the fabrics I made in a class at the International Quilt Show. It was a free-form class and I came in late. The teacher pretty much let us loose with some paints, stamps, brushes (toothbrushes too), combs and gesso. We brought muslin from home. At first I was disappointed because I wanted some instruction, but after awhile I began to realize the benefit of someone forcing me to abandon structure and just TRY STUFF. It was great! I had no idea what I was doing but I found out that sometimes that's good for me. These are lots of fun and I'm not sure what I'll do with them yet, but I have a whole new respect for the lowly muslin.
