A Cupcake of Your Own

In between studio cleaning I decided to make a fabric book for auction. This book is based on one which will be featured in the next ish of Cloth Paper Scissors. I used an old child's board book and covered it with hand dyed fabric. Then I painted some scrumptious cupcakes and added watercolor text. Both are stitched on the sewing machine for texture and a "sketched" look.

You are an extremely talented artist. Did you get this talent from your Mother (AS I SUSPECT) or from your Father? Most daughters get the most of their artistic genes from the female in the family. But, you do seem to excel at all your artistic endeavors. Does your Mother also excel at all her artistic endeavors? (AS IS SUSPECT). I totally understand if you don't want to give your Mother the cudoes, as I understand this, being a Mother myself. I have children, 3 of which are moderately talented. one is extremely so, which she takes from me; but the other three are extremely bright, all educated, and they got their basic talent from their Mother (me). They also have great senses of humor which I give to their Father. (Had to give him something). Well, thanks for allowing me to rant and give your Mother the credit that is due her. I'll bet you love her very much as well!!! You are a lucky girl !!!!!!!!!!!!!
