I got
Jane LaFazio's DVD in the mail today--titled "The Small Art Quilt." This will be fabulous for me because I have generally failed to finish most of my small quilts, so I'm excited to get motivated. I'll review it for you and show you my progress as I get professional help!
Meanwhile, back at the ranch....some bleachy pen fun and some stitch fun with cotton squares.
I do love bleach pen. Along with the blue gel school glue as a resist...whacha making with all that wonderful RED??
ReplyDeleteAnd, personally, :-) I can't wait to hear what you think of the DVD!
Cool! Is there a trick to getting the bleach pen to work? I've tried it on a number of different commercial fabrics, but nothing ever happens.
ReplyDeleteI also can't wait to see what you're going to do with all that red!
Love the red squares. Jane's DVD should come with a warning "not to be watched before bed". Trust me, you will spend half the night thinking of ideas to try out! Have fun!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see what you are making! I used the bleach pen when I made my art quilt from your Stitch Imagery.
ReplyDeleteJill - have you tried more than one bleach pen? You might have gotten an impotent one. . .? Mine worked thatfast!
just awesome, kelli! ;) xo
ReplyDeleteHmm. I might have to get me a bleach pen! What a cool technique. Can't wait to hear how you do with Jane's DVD...
ReplyDeleteVery COOL!!! Good Job Kelli
ReplyDeleteWhere do I find bleach pens? I'm in your class at Lquilt and ended up making my picture without it but would like to have one especially after this post!
ReplyDeleteoh my......looks like something i gotta try!
