CREATE 2010 Wrap Up

My CREATE students were absolutely delightful! I loved meeting each and every one of you. Here are some highlights from the four days of classes and the rest of my photos are posted in this album on Facebook.

I seriously fell in love with this painting and eventual small quilt of stacked cups and plates created during the Stitch Imagery class. The artist encountered some challenges during the day, including an evil iron, but the end result was fabulous! It gave me chills. Paper Paper Bead Alchemy class was interrupted by a power failure, but everyone remained in good spirits and we got an engineer down on his knees replacing extension cords and made it work. He was on the floor with 26 crafty women and looked terrified. I do believe he left with a bit of glitter in his hair.

More really beautifully done quilts and their owners. Someone got ambitious and nearly finished a whole pieced quilt during class. The range of images, from crabs to clocks to flowers--was inspirational.

In Stitch Alchemy class we made a big mess and I saw lots of glee as students played with color and stitch. Thread sketching houses. Cool!

The Trinket Journal Class was very satisfying and almost everyone left with a journal nearly complete. Some have gone on to embellish them more and post them on their blogs.

All in all one of the most engaging and rewarding experiences of my lifetime. Many many thanks to everyone who participated, made Agent Pink feel special, and shared a smile with me. I hope to see you again as we continue our artistic journey.
