Larger Than Life Messy Canvas

While in Rosemont, I had the privilege of taking a class from Alisa Burke. The class focused on making messy graffiti-style canvases in a large size. My canvas was not as large as most, but it was still a revelation to work on such a grand scale. I'm sincerely in love with Alisa's style and her great blog. We learned how to work with house paint and the importance of a good drip. The canvases I made are intended to be cut up into something else, but they make delightful backgrounds for all sorts of things. They're still being worked on--a kind of paint and marker doodling that's very satisfying! I am thrilled with how they came out.
Here's Alisa in action.
